That's my current state of mind.

Well why would I talk about being in peace as my first come-back post over here? Possibly that's what I have been on pursuit for a very very long time. Like the many times my mom told me, you can have ten mansions, a beautiful physique, remarkable career, reciprocated love, and everything else that you desire but it takes more than all these to be in PEACE.

Quite a weird thing we human beings are. Never feel contented with what we have as we constantly desire things one after another. Many of you out there would agree with me on this. Thus, what are we going to be when we literary have everything that we desire? You go back to square one and start desiring something which is out of your grasp.

Dont believe me? Go and take a challenge for the coming month. List up five things that you think would make you happy if you happen to have or share with someone; be it a material or something abstract like a relationship or not worrying about house chores. Initially this is what happened to me two weeks back. I did not particularly set any challenges, however I was wanting too many things at once. Of course I wont be revealing that here. Personally I managed to attain almost every one of what I desired and it began to dawn on me that even after all the desires were fulfilled I was still not content.

I was positive before any of it was achieved that it will be lead me to blissfulness and satisfaction. How wrong I was about that. It is only after talking to few people around me and recalling and recollecting my thoughts, I tried to understand that life cannot be grand and beautiful if you do not have inner peace. It will only come to you when you sort your thoughts, stop desiring for everything in this world, and when you begin to accept and understand that sometimes its okay to have nothing or at the least something lesser than what you want. The day one realizes all these and more, it definitely brings you closer to inner peace and happiness. Apparently you dont need something to have these both.

Complicating? Yes, indeed. However when you know the taste of peace without any external pleasure, you are on your way to experiencing something distinct and different.

It keeps your soul warm and tender.

I managed to catch the following trailer in the cinemas today...more to stumbled on it. GLAD I did. I think its a very good masterpiece. Cant wait to get the novel and finish reading it first because my imagination is always better than what they come up in the movie.

Actually, this movie reminds me of a novel I read few years back: Run No More written by Catherine Mulvany. This book has a very startling insight of not just romance but a twist of suspense at the moment we least expect! What makes this romance novel stand out from its like is the essence of paranormal and time traveling. The author had done a great job in producing very real like characters which captivates the plot well.

I have not read the synopsis of The Time Traveler's Wife, however just by its trailer it is in my must watch and read list! Peek on IT :D

PS: I catched Iloveyyou,BethCooper today! It was not in my list but it was indeed hilarious besides some very lame A-jokes. Gosh, thank god I watched with my babes, even that was kinda embarrassing :P Btw, there is this song called FORGET ME sung by Violet Columbus as one of the soundtrack in this movie. It is an acoustic version and sounds pleasant. But, I couldn't download it for free in most of the websites I searched for. Help please???

Bro made a lot of fuss early morning since mum is leaving me at college first. Screw him...but pity my mum she sped and I was feeling a little scared :S Then met Rohini and Praba. Three of us took almost an hour to settle the subject registration which was totally insane. DAMN! I couldn drop or even add another subject to my choice...damn them for changing the time table and expecting us to be in pleasure when they sucked up their responsibilities. Next, Ro and me left to lobby from the 10th floor to catch up with the photo shoot and interview. Was nothing big and extraordinary though it was one of a kind :)

Eventually when it was over, Abby was there! So the four of us headed to Summit, hunting for a place to have lunch. We dined at a place suggested by Abby and had these lunch set which consist of rice noodle (kuew teow) and fresh watermelon juice. The rice noodle was very different from the one I ever had before in my life..the taste especially was a little unique, I think its a blend of the Western and Chinese! I can give about 7 out of 10 for the taste...so yeah that means it was above average. The juice really quenched the perspiring us!

After lunch, the three of them headed to Public Speaking class while I joined Michelle in Introduction to Philosophy by Ms. Jaime. She managed to teach us 3chapters in just 2hours..it was a little interesting but I really didn't concentrate as I was sleep deprived :S Honestly, I am still stuck in holiday mode...

Once class over, boarded the Rapid KL bus and I had to go all the way towards the end of the bus to climb on the seat beside a Chinese dude. That was when I aimlessly bumped the top of my head: O.U.C.H *iwishiwasshorter* and sat there quietly. To make it worse there were this 2black guys, who sat right behind me and kept talking so loudly, that my eardrums might only response to their language till I managed to seat on an empty seat further then em, when some of the commuters got off at the stop opposite to Sunway Pyramid.

I really don't seem to understand, why the weather in KL is so unpredictable. Just few days in a row, it rained like there wont be sunshine til the end of August. Then today, the sun shines sending massive heat waves like its the drought season! Gosh I really can empathize the Muslims who are fasting while having to face such humidity without even a gulp of water. Ironically, that is what they need to go through as in to be more patient and understand the sufferings of the less privileged at other times and be grateful for their blessings.

When I reached Kl Sentral, I wanted badly to taste the MCD's ice cream and so I bought the chocolate sundae back home. HEHE...it ended up being chocolate shake when I reached home but the creamy, milky, sweet sugar-y taste is all that I need. End of day one of my 2nd semester. BTW, just FYI the subjects that I'll be doing in Fall09 are:

1. Introduction to Philosophy
2. General Psychology
3. Basic Communication
4. Intercultural Communication

Exam results will be out maybe by end of this week.

Back to college

Its 7am now. I am not dreaming though.
Barely had a sleep which was about 3hours when I stopped my playlist from playing on my mp3.
There's some photoshoot and interview to be faced today.
Hope nothing goes wrong and O yeah I'll be skipping classes on the first day itself...now how great that is?

Place: Tony Romas Mid Valley

Kian fetched me from home to MID V and goodness grace we searched for parking lot for more than 30minutes. IN the end we ended up cursing the bay we entered and went into another building and found so many lots empty. Yeng Ping and Pui Li who seem to have left their place later than us, managed to reach there and got a parking before us! Li had a hair cut and seems to a bit taken back with his boring course of study. Being a law undergraduate at UM, he is still the kiddish one! He is being taught in Malay but all the books are written in English. Besides, he also mentioned to me the quirky phrases that lawyers use such as 'At the material of time' which means 'At this moment' in plain old English!

Then met V and two lass, Ping and Pui Li! We were all very hungry, so headed straight to Tony Romas. Place suggested by me though I had only RM20 in my handbag! GEEZ!

Then after we ordered the food, Wai Hong joined us. He had a very tanned red skin colour. Should blame the hot weather at UUM, since he is the next accountant in make. He was as usual..quiet and only talked when one of us asked him on something. I took the lunch set as suggested by Ping. It came with potato soup, main course of my choice: Fish and Chips and with a carbonated drink (had no choice). While they were all having a go at the soup, Kim and her guy came. Since initially the place we were sitting could only place the 5 of us, we switched to a huge round table which could not hold up all of us, when the rest of them who joined us later! They are: V's college mates who were just dropping by- Francis and Asas and Chai Ling my another Maxwell class mate who is studying at UMS. I have met Asas before, so I was much more awkward in talking to Francis. What I didn know is that, Francis has similar traits to Shi Yi. Even, V agreed with me on that.

The food was average...I still liked the TGI's fish and chips better :P Once we are done with food, we all ended up catching up with each another and even about the rest of our friends who couldn make it! We were making so much of noise..it was like Pasar Borong...just reminded me of the times we made such noise back in school and Pn.Siau will knock us up with some advice. DUH! I miss that and more. BTW, I planned up into watching The Proposal..well thanks to everyone I DIDN'T :S

Despite that, the meet up was fun and they managed to make me happy!

Hoping to meet more of em, sooner!

Last week, while it rained every now and then and there weren't anything interesting to be done at odd hours, I finally read the last few pages of The Bronze Horseman. Actually the reason of my delay to finish it off is because, I reread so many pages countless times. I could not even slightly absorb the weight that each word had on me; the very words Paulina penned to craft the story. I felt I was the happiest person when good things happened to the characters, I felt butterflies in stomach when two of them embraced love in difficult situations, I felt agony and despair when loved ones seem to be gone leaving memories and guilt, I felt hungry(though I ate satisfying meals) and hopeless when they ate oats and breads made of sawdust and even erupted into laughter and giggles when humor was up. Well the last one did raise the eyebrows of my curious father and annoying brother. I really felt like I was not in my room, not in my comfort zone but in the faraway land in Leningrad where the only comfort were Alexander and Tatiana.

Thanks to my cousin, Nirmal, I had the second book. The first half of the book is more to Alexander's diary. If you have not read TBH, then you can still pick this book and understand the story but you may find it inadequate as most of the descriptions were cut short! I think it was written in such way as to make someone remember all that have happened in the previous lot from his perspective. The characters were even more compelling and heart warming! There was so much going on in the second half in the story, I almost forgot I had a life to live in the two days I took to finish reading it. The last page of this second book hints of the third and the last one for this story. BUT, IM TRULY HAPPY THEY ARE GOING BACK home!!!

I cant wait to get the third one........hopefully next month -SIGH- I have to place an order first!

PS: Mahesh is back home. O thank you GOD so much!!! I felt bad I couldn't visit him even though he advised me not to...

Memories evoked!

Just minutes ago, I had received a text from Mahesh! There was something disturbing written there: Hospitalized! Damn! Thank God, he was suspected for dengue not the on-going h1N1. However it doesn't make me feel any better though he said HE is feeling better.

I for one who've been admitted twice for the same reason knows that it is all about hell especially when every few hours, a bum in a white uniform with a disgruntled look comes to my bed. Then, she uses a syringe and prick its needless on the skin above my forearm to have my blood counted for platelets! I remembered that I could handle the pain much better the second time I had dengue... because the first time, I was five, naive and when I knew I'm in pain, there's nothing I could (better too) do than to cry!

Whenever, I visit someone who is in the hospital or I am there for some other reasons, the hospital smell evokes memories. Such memories makes me dread at times to even accompany someone but sometimes, the very same memories make me feel appreciated and grateful. YES! In the sense, when people who are dear to me make a presence there and let me know that they care to see me live and wishes me to gain better health. When all you care is to feel better, their presence makes our inner self to fight whatever virus/sickness/disease without us realizing because good vibes creates even better vibes to those around us.

So, do make a difference if you hear of someone who is hospitalized and allowed to have visitors! I'd like to drop by to see Mahesh, just hoping somehow I can get out of my house. Meanwhile, lets pray for Optimus' health!

I had to go college today [though it is officially the start of the semester break for us, of course by no means attending classes but yeah] to pay up the required amount of money for them to approve Ro and me to pick and register our subjects for the coming semester.It was tedious from the start because everyone played their part so well, so every single annoying excuses simply toppled onto us. IF you know what blaming game is like. There is a very adamant creature working in my college's administration department, to be precise the bursary. We really dont know what we owe her so badly, but she was so against us in getting the PTPTN . After much disagreement, RO and me desperately consolidated with the Head of Scholar and I think that made that lady to stop picking on us. Even after that, she was so furious she couldnt toy us around, so she made us to pay the facility fee if we ever want to register the subs. So that is why I went to the college that morning.

Earlier, my parents and me went to the Perumal Temple just few meters away from my college and we were bemused as the temple was already closed by 9. Then I quickly met up with Ro and finished all that we were there for and waited impatiently for Abby. The plan was to just chill out after all the crap and have some fun together. THEY made me to realize I had not have some but a BLAST of fun. We pretty much went around Sunway Pyramid and just explored all the shops which had the SALE signs. LOL. It was Mega Sales yet there were some shops which didnt have any sign of sale. After dwelling into all the clothes and craving for almost all the pieces available in each and every store that we made way to, we went to have our lunch at MCD. I was on a vege diet so just had fries and yes chocolate shake :) We went on to watch the movie MOTHI VILAYADU. Interestingly, the cinema there were a lot of people who picked the movie...the movie wasnt much of disappointments as the hero was dashing and though the plot was not consummate. To top it off, the songs weren't to my like but the comedy was superb! I'd give a 6 for it. The best part of the movie is that, both the characters donned very fashionable modern clothes and matching accessories. It was all TODAY's trend....which is so unlike for most of the Tamil movies which goes with low budget.

The coolest part of the day was the three of us rummaged for clothes at the shops finding for something that is to our taste even though we didn't really want to purchase it. Then somehow, we got into this hyper mood of trying few tops+dresses and taking pictures of ourselves. This was definitely my first time. I was laughing in the dressing room like a mad cow with all the jokes Abby and Rohini continuously threw on until someone passed by the dressing room and we were all hushed up trying our best not to burst but we didn't. It took us some minutes to actually stop curving our lips to giggles. I eventually got the orange top from Kitschen since it was within my budget and I liked it. Thanks to Meena, I now know a new shop to splurge!! Ro got a beige coloured top from Voir. With so much of excitement, both of them left their folder and the thick hardcover Psychology book at Voir after our cam-whoring session. Thank god since Ro purchased a top there, I think the cashier remembered it was ours and kept the stuff till we got it back after the movie.

The catch is that I have had a splendid day laughing so much that I am wanting more of THIS with them soon!!!

Thanks for the PEACHy color nailpolishe Ro... :D (yeah we did stop at Elianto awhile) and let me tell you Ro was twice lucky because before we took the KTM back home, she went to this shop near the station to get reload coupons and it so happen to be that she left her folder again. We both did not realize this and got ourselves a spot at the bench, chatting along while waiting for the train. It was a blessed day, as this foreign worker from the shop darted all the way into the station and to us, who then asked whether the folder was hers and handed it to her. Then, Ro went like OMG!!! Thank god..thank god la and we both laughed thinking over our absent minded attitude.

Oh meena!

I know the title for the post sounds so attention grabbing but yeah it was meant to!

To my sheer delight, we actually made time out of our busy lives for each of us! It was a day with mixture of emotions.

Met her at Sunway P...the very first time for me! I didnt know where to meet her up, so I just meandered till I came to the very last level and called her up, letting her know that I will try to come to TGV as I just asked some Chinese ladies where it was. Quickly took the elevator just as been told and I saw the movie posters and the TGV's emblem. When I was just about to turn, I saw the slight disappointment on her face as she clearly wanted to knock me out from the back. Hehe Meena, next time I will wait few minutes before turning okay? :P We were both so over the world that we shrieked and some people gawked at us. Then quickly we went walking all the way finding places. I saw the skating arcade for the first time and Im so tempted to go on skating sometime in the future. Of course like you said, I am going to be another falling machine there!

Ms. Meena took me over to the Kitschen and Niichi's outlets which was new to me as I dont find them at KLCC; the place where I roam so often! Then we headed to find some place to eat adn settled at Pizza. The service is so bad because she practically had to ask where the ordered food was after so long. Then we talked and talked about this and that and everything. It was a emotional one for her and I couldn resist myself to tear out too because I understand how exactly she was feeling for the every spoken word uttered to me; for the rest of her gestures which made up when she didnt speak and how much she valued him(RIP) as her best friend. I know nothing will be alright without him anymore but you have to mend things and let him be in peace. Again to you: TIME IS THE TRUE NARCOTIC FOR PAIN. So please ease yourself with time and I hope to see that twinkle in your eyes once again, be it soon!

Without us realizing, it was nearly 4. Then we decided to roam around again because Meena was hunting for the one scarf she saw on Asean Avenue (AA). So there we went and we couldn find the scarf at its shop. Then we went to ROMP as I told her they had some nice pieces at the KLCC's one. Then she went berserk at a scarf which was attached to a top. To my astonishment, I had the same piece of scarf but with another kind of top from ROMP which I had bought from the KLCC's outlet. The sales girl didnt want to sell her only the scarf but told us that we could find similar ones at AA! Whoa! We went there again giggling around finding for that shop but there werent any of the scarves which was on display at the ROMP. Meena, being the scarf addict, eventually got a star patterned grey coloured scarf. That pleased her, IM sure :)

Then we decided to head back. SO missy drove me to the KTM and I bid her goodbye!

Ps: I forgot the part where we both got this very COOL UnionJack sling bag! She took black and I chose RED :) It was something unique to look at and babe memang lawa lar! My mum also agree with you!!! I google-d to find out if such bags exist with branded labels and guess what?

Chanel has it as a clutch and

TOPSHOP has it as a canvas satchel.

The latter was priced at 30 pounds, guess how much we got it for? RM 20!

You remind me of her :P I'm so happy since you got a brand new hand phone after donkey years of the old Nokia which you used to complain to me. We will spice up our college life in the next coming semesters...hope we be as close we are and Thank you for being concerned and easing me out with care especially when I was down with fever. Kicking up hard!

Dear readers...

This post is all about my college life. I will try my best to gist it up, well lets see if that happens! :P

As I was so occupied with the carnival, home tuition and El's bday party on ; 27.6-Saturday, I had to make time to study for mid term which was the day after Sat. Thank god, I only had one written subject for mid term and of course its not Public Speaking, but Intro to Comp. IM telling you, it was like plunging myself into the dark hole finding for something that would let me out of it. It was totally incredulous as in ME, Janane studying on all the terms and specifications of computers and its like. It took me a total of 14hours to finish four chapters and I skipped a chapter and just read its summarized content due to my last minute attitude. I did something else which I doubt the rest of my class mates wouldn't have done or even thought of doing...well I just went to the online site of the book which my lecturer uses and tried up doing the practices and quizzes available there. It really helped me a lot to gauge my understanding and made me more confident while I was rushing towards the examination hall. (ermm its a classroom actually) I am quite glad on the results as there were not many questions which I have not chanced upon the book and the website. :D

13.7; Mond: As for Public Speaking, for my informative speech, I came up with Food Allergy. I covered the aspects on what it was about, how it affects those who are allergic to certain kinds of food, what food types are prone to trigger allergy reactions to those who consume it, prevention methodology and cure. YES, you read it right, there is actually cure for those whom are allergic to lets say cows milk or even peanut butter. The treatment is known as Oral Immunotherapy. Although, it is successive, it is still not approved for widespread usage as those who undergoes this therapy are under strict observations of physicians.

Next, I was getting busy with this assignment to set up an awareness campaign booth on the tenth floor of my college's building aka as the ADP's floor where almost all the ADP classes are conducted. I was in the group of five whereby it includes 2 Nigerians and 2 Chinese. Everything was wrong since the beginning. It is just that, I failed to realize that some people can be extremely lazy, irresponsible and couldn't care much on how their misdeeds can spoil another s day or even life. I would not want to elaborate more because I know I will start cussing. So the 40percentage task is practically screwed up and I wonder if the lecturer who is already known for his stringent manners in evaluating his students' tasks would actually give us the mark we need in order to at least pass the paper. FYI, out of my own courage, I made a complaint to him along with another 2boys on this hoping at least that would make him feel a little pity on us.

In between all these problems, we had quizzes for Public Speaking to examine our understanding on its theories. It is such a waste because, I don't think reading the book benefited any of us since we were all just grasping the main points which would enable us to ace the quiz. So yeah practically to put into words, I was studying for the purpose of a quiz, which is so not educational!

15.7; Wedn: After that, we had our forum presentation for the Public Speaking class. The topic was chosen by me. CREDIT CARDS. I know very the lame, but we had to come up with something asap and there weren't many choices that could suit all the speakers in my group. I really thank God that my Public Speaking group mates were so good, that they co-operated and we helped each other till the very last minute before we presented it to our lecturer. This is the day, I fell sick and the symptoms were similar to H1N1. O yeah, started with sudden body ache..thanks to Michelle as she brought panadols upon my call to her earlier that day. I dont know how I pulled through the forum as we were the last ones to present it for the day with the incredible pain.

The next 3days, I was on medical leave...the doc said it has nothing to do with H1N1, but trust me, I think it was because after my fever stopped, my mum had the same symptoms and very high fever which was the contracted by my younger bro. SO, is this a normal ailment? I hoped so, because on 24.7;Friday I was forced to make presence to the Public Speaking class as there was a quiz due. Meaning to say, I had came into contact with at least 50 classmates and more..I hope none of them fell sick coz of me! Once I was done with the quiz, I went back home as the teacher excused me for that day's class and my persuasive was postponed to Monday.

By Monday (20.7) I am still recovering, now from cough and flu! GOSH, it really sucks esp when I needed to travel while being so lethargic to and from college during this period. On this day, I really broke down as the assignment which was supposed to be handed was in failure due to few people in my group. Since, I was helping them to finish whatever possible, I totally was not prepared for my persuasive speech which carried 25percent. In the end, I coaxed Ms. Padma with my persuasive skills (ehem) coming clean about what has happened and asked her for another chance to be evaluated on the next day. She just gasped when she heard me asking for such request and unbelievably she agreed to me with a condition of being the last to speak, the very next day. I sighed with relief.

Tues, 21.7: The persuasive speech was scheduled to begin at 4 in the evening. I had tons of time to prepare for it but whatever happened with the folio for my Intro to Comp reluctantly made me to forget whatever I had memorized earlier and I wasted my time on shrugging the thoughts of my mind. Enough said, Elton my buddy from the Intro to Comp class, who was also in the Public Speaking class accompanied me till the end of the whole session. My persuasive topic was to persuade people to become vegans or vegetarians on terms of ecology, animal cruelty, world poverty and human rights, and of course one's health concerns too. The session ended around eight at night and Elton is such a nice chap to drive me all the way to the KTM station who dropped me there, so that I can catch a train back home rather than waiting for the bus . Well, I'd describe Elton as tall and average sized with a lot of sense of humor and maturity. He is the only son in his family and is doing his second year of ADP in finance and management after completing his A-levels at TARC. I was really amazed at his modified Proton Wira which he did it on his own. Apparently, I also got to know that, he used to work with workshops which caters specially into modifying cars.

The very next day, WED(22.7), we had our final class for Public Sp which ended with the last quiz. On Mond ( 27.7) , I completed the final exam for the Intro to Comp which resulted towards the end of my first ever semester in SEGi SJ! Im now on a semester break for 3weeks, lets all hope I will pass my Intro to Comp sub, or else bad news will be waiting for me in the beginning of the next sem.

BTW, this is Michelle and me in our last class of Public Speaking.

Yeah, u read it right! Ms EMB turned 19 and I was there for that surprise bday party of hers!
Went along with Sarah, Pari, Sasha, Sarah's sis and V. There were a lot of people actually, more of her relatives, neighbours and family friends.

I was there very early so ended up chatting with Sash for sometime while hearing El singing her heart out while showering LOL...when she actually saw me, she freaked out with a sheepish grin. Cant blame her though :P

Her mum had a super hair-do...its a mixture of punk and rock style and trust me it suits her darn well. Then, we ended up chatting for sometime while waiting for the rest of them to arrive. El wore the shirt that me n V wanted to get her yesterday from SOGO, but we didn't as she is fastidious especially when it involves clothes.

The SEGi SJ carnival made me to just loose up and have fun by just talking and giggling over. There are no pics YET, well we did take few but I have not gotten it from the person. :S

BTW, Ms.EL if you were ever to read this piece: I am truly contented to have you as my pal, to hear me on whenever I needed you, to have conversed so many things over and over WINK (you know what i mean), to have kicked the last hours of school days together and just to have awesome days being friends. I know you since standard 2, trust me our friendship shall continue till we know when! Thanks for everything and I hope you liked those Chocs!

Hello readers!

I have been ObviouslY M>IA as I was running out of space and TIME due to various unforeseen reasons! Let me just update on where I last left you of my college's chapter! This is regarding the Sports Carnival organized by the Fayette House(it is a student council catered only for ADP students) When I saw the crowd at the field, I was agitated knowing this is some serious crap. I had to part from the people I were comfortable with since I need to register with my own team. I was wearing a yellow T and it was just mere coincidence, the team assigned to me was also yellow, of t he lighter shade. The team adviser, Mr Francis who is one of the lecturer on Photography came up with a cheer for our team : YELLOW YELLOW, DIRTY FELLOW! What a thing to say to cheer your team mates. LOL

Aha! That is when I jumped in the wagon and I clearly dont know h ow I actually got into the spirit to participate. I am too lazy to describe how the games went but towards the end, I excluded myself from 2games since I couldn afford to get my clothes dir tier with mud and soil. It was endless fun though my team didn win. O yeah, those strangers became friends eventually. Looking forward the next year's one.

Thanks to Michele's mum for the ride back to the KTM, or else I would have just fainted because of the humidity.

PS: BTW I played all the eight games, wearing a pair slingback flats :D

then we had this blowing the flour game and fixing the puzzle. the catch is that, you need to use ur face to retrieve the pieces from the flour.

we managed to assemble the puzzle :D
we had to blow balloons till it burst and there' will be this tag of actions which we need to act, and the rest of us will guess!

this one is dragging a person using the sack while you are blindfolded, the trick here is you need to do few turns and U-turn infact...hehe

this is the game that I did not participate. so im not bothered to know what it was.

there were more games but I couldn manage to find the pics so no more description.

Dilemma captivated me and daunted my senses when the package from the UTM arrived on Friday. I just tore open the envelope and my eyes dashed through the words printed on the white, UTM embedded logo paper with a crease on the middle. The only factor that made me to analyze and rethink of my option to choose the latter is the fees for the whole course. It is merely the amount you pay for the cheapest Sony Vaio available here. Yes for the whole duration of the course. Sometime after receiving it, I began to ponder and realize that I can only proceed with one choice ahead in my future and not two. Like any fickle minded person, I always wonder if the grass is greener on the side....

In the end, Rohini (the babe who was an acquaintance earlier who's my close friend now, here) and I went to discuss with the Head of Examination; the lady who was dealing with us regarding the scholar. With apprehension, we entered the discussion room and she gave us a brief WHY SHOULD YOU STAY IN SEGI. I don't know if she had public speaking classes before in her life but she definitely was persuasive and managed to convince us to stay here for the better of us. I felt a bit of relief that I was not alone caught up in this dilemma because Yeng Ping, Vicky and few others were too. I thank my parents to have given me the opportunity to decide and to YP and V for not only persuading me to stick with this but who offered moral support which I desperately needed. So yeah to good and hard times, I hope to be a graduate of Upper Iowa Uni in four years time. As for those who have managed to seclude a place and will be leaving on Fridays and Saturdays to your Uni, I wish you all the best in everything that comes along your way. Not forgetting to those who are unlucky to get a place in Uni, fret not there's plenty of ways to further your way up in tertiary education.

On Sat, Eliza, Sharminie, Vicky and me managed to meet up awhile as the first two will be enrolling soon in their uni's! It was a short but sweet one...three of us met and travelled to the CM which had a face lift. This place brings back a lot of memories to me and the rest as we had spent a lot of time loitering around, having lunches, giggling up at the Secret Recipe or tasting the yummy King's pastries. After our lunch, V and me followed Eliza to Capsquare intending to wander around the rock festival held there. Shar didn't follow us back as she needed to go to the temple with her mum. Eliza was so generous in giving us two free redemption coupons from Starbucks-the place she had been working for since the past two months. You did make someones' day la girl :)

And it was a good thing to know that her eldest brother will be getting married next year and finally she must grow her hair to be a real lass ;p

We did follow her all the way to Caps but we decided not to have the drink there since it was too crowded and there weren't places available for us to sit. So we headed to Maju Junc and had Java Chips and a piece of cake which V licked like a dog. It was really funny to see him getting so excited putting the moist chocolate pieces into his mouth. For each bite into his mouth, he'll give out this weird sound exclaiming its the best ever cake he had before. I was laughing all the way and managed to bully him for once!

On Sunday, I wished my dad and pretty much had a mundane day. My bro and me already got dad the shoes he wanted last week when we went to watch the movie Night at the Museum2 at KLCC. A fan of shoes, he never really settles with one for too long. I really hope I wont always pick fight with him because I hate to bicker...but sometimes it is funny to see him so angry at me that he does this cute face which exhibits DON'T TALK TO ME NOW. My family has made me to think twice of not staying at the campus and I am willing to travel even if it is going to consume a lot of time. Being with them is the best I can get as I know nothing is certain.

There it goes....

Erhire is a nice chap as I got to know him even better though I hate people gazing at us one kind when we walk together after classes and when we went along with our groupie to Summit to make copies of the survey forms. ESPECIALLY THOSE Indian guys! My first assignment had been assigned to us in The Intro to Comp. I am in a group of 4guys, two Chinese and two Nigerians. Han is quite a chatterbox and the other Chinese guy is very shy and I dont recall his name. Besides Erhire, I have another Nigerian friend who is Ugo! We are required to create an awareness campaign on the topics related to this subject and carry out this campaign for about 6 consecutive weeks and then gist it all up with a 40 page report. You got me right! GIST! Yeevon, now I guess your assignments are way better than mine.

Moving on to PUBLIC SPEAKING...okay for those Sixth Formers, its way different than our MUET oral tests. The lady is one with substance...just an hour or so in her first class, I know she can get things her way by sowing what she wants, in us; Ms Padma. This is the class I made some good girl friends...to mention a few : Kimberly, Michelle and Aisha. I did not befriend others because I didn't know any of their names and I think everyone knew my name because I was literally KICKED out of my first class since the class will be having a quiz on the past week's lesson and I shouldn't be there.

Back to the amenities here...I took some time to figure which elevator brings me to the right floors. To my surprise last Friday they launched "take the stairs campaign'' ...well imagine me rushing up for my class and climbing the stairs up to the tenth floor and with guys smoking on each floor? Totally not my pick! The library is alright, I have not discovered it totally. I think the most I have utilised at this place is the computer lab. The speed is fairly excellent but what I dislike is the eyes behind my back which pries on whatever I do with the Pc.

I managed to meet some of my online friends as well as my old pals from tuitions, schools like Pradip, Arie, Navishia, Shoba, Shalini(Maxwell senior) and make more new ones like Rohini, Farahvina, Kartini and few more which I could not recall their names.

Till today, I did not dare to eat at the cafeteria due to its cleanliness..hmm whenever I go down to that floor, I simply don't have appetite. The food is highly priced, I think it caters to those who are with loads of the green bills. Screw them!

Basically that's about the place I am in..and in a week time I have to come up with 3speeches which will be an informative, a persuasive and a group forum. Please FEED me ideas if you have any, I desperately need creative people's brain coz I don have one. Pour in quick!

Last Friday was disastrous due to the fact that my parents and I finally made our way to SeGi SJ to meet a personnel there to hand in the contract. The lady actually stared at me while I gleefully introduced myself to her like I never met her before. She just jumped on us for not having registered myself earlier as the classes had begun. Wanna know whats the worst part?

I missed the orientation day and the lady gave me a sheet of paper which had the fee structure and I just stared that piece till my eyes were watery. The external examination fee is 16k and besides that I have to bear the registration fee. What they are covering for me is just the amount of 40k only for the tuition fee. FUND it seems..now I completely understand why many don't opt for private colleges. After discussing with SEGi officials where they have advised us over to apply for the PTPTN loan just to pay the external examination fees. I really don't want to make things worst for my parents so I just went along wit the plan.

I was advised to take only 2subjects for this short semester which is called FALL. No choices given, the lady from bursary chose Public Speaking and Introduction to Computer. What a weird choice of subjects that I have to begin with my college year?

Next to the classes. Like any other colleges, it is all air-conditioned and I kinda envy my brother's campus where it is massive which has lush greens around. As for mine, the 11storey building is situated right in front of the busiest road on the USJ 6. I have four classes a week which means I have Tuesday off. Two days for each sub and two sessions of morning and afternoon each.

COMPUTER STUDIES is taught by this nerdy Chinese guy. What more can you ask? A hunk to be associated with computers? When i first entered the class, it really was like walking to a deserted room with only ten people around. I was actually shaking all over because I don't want to be sitting in the wrong room and embarrass myself on the first ever day. After seeing a book lying on the front desk of the room, I sighed myself with relief. I chose to sit beside a Nigerian guy. Hmm, I know most of you are actually wondering if that is a bit scary. Trust me he did look scary with moustache and muscular body. I just managed a smile and asked him on what is the lecturer is up to the past week. When he started to speak to me with a very low tone of voice and a slight accent of the place of his origin, I found him quite shy but knowledgeable. Erhire, is officially my first friend here and I have no regrets till now.

I will tell you why- stay tuned for the next post. Sorry guys, I am travelling too much and it tires me up when I reach home that I don't have time for virtual life. Good day till then =)

After much tiring times at work, I managed to get out of house to have a girl day out with two of my secondary Convent buddies. Its been like 2years since I meet these two lass both with more brains than I have. No doubt about it.

Place was Mid Valley and it was a little funny to see Ms Pad all dolled up for an outing with us since she rarely goes out of her place especially without her family. Joyce is another comical buddy of mine who will never stop giggling in all our classes making our dull study lessons lively enough not to fall asleep.

On a different note; even though we are all in different paths to our future, I can assure deep inside we still yearn for that school life we once shared nonchalantly. When you start to realize, it becomes too late and people just get on with their life not bothering to stop and stare what have the accumulated all these years being in their course of direction. Money? Fame? Popularity? Materials? Friends? Memories? You can name of those you have so far but what about those you dont? Never too late to keep seeking for it.

So coming back to the outing, Joyce is like the apek girl -still boyish but I think she has a sense of style now and Pad had her hair straightened and still the simple shy girl. What matters, they have a body which holds great souls. We decided to watch MONSTER VS ALIENS and the tickets cost us each RM12 since its the opening day! We had time to kill till the movie starts and headed to find the Garden's food court but failed to do so hehe.. Thanks to Joyce's remarkable navigation around the place we came to the Mid Valley's food court instead and sat for snacking. I had a piece of cake from ZEN, Joyce- desserts from the fruit bar and Pad-yong tau foo! Quickly then headed to MPH to browse through (obviously books :p) and we wanted to take pictures together so yeah we did cam-whore in MidV's MPH lol.. Thank God we didnt hype that up!

Monster vs Aliens was really hilarious- made me to tear and hold my stomach coz we laughed till it hurt. Though I think the 3D version would have been better...and I really fell in love with this character in the movie- it was a fuzzy looking creature, with big eyes and two pairs of legs/hands at the beginning of the movie and towards the end, it transformed into a cute winged creature!!! It was the highlight towards the end and labeled as INSECTOSAURUS =D.

Three of us bid farewell later in the evening and I hope to meet more of my ex-school mates soon!

I know! I know! We both have been having time of our life as we get to meet so often and that makes life more beautiful. Indeed, it will never be, with another person.

So yeah, we just met yesterday...went for the movie afterwards : ANGELS AND DEMONS

and i practically ruined the suspense coz I was so furious in blurting out the plot and how they changed all the main characters and the thrill it should have brought. I bet if it was another person who was sitting beside me, they would have just stormed out of the cinema and forget about watching the movie altogether. Seems funny to you right? ITS NOT okay :p

I REALLY HOPE IF THEY EVER GONNA MAKE A MOVIE OUT OF A NOVEL AND CLAIM IT IS THE EXACT STORY THAT U HAVE READ...THEY WILL PLAN TO STICK WITH IT!!!

Practically those of you who know my crazy working hours has an hour break for every shift. You really made my DAY bee; coming all the way after work, taking the sardin packed putra train, walking all the way to the entrance of the TA building...hehehe and then calling me with that monkey voice and saying that you are down there waiting for me while I walk out didn knowing that. So sweet of you!

Mood: craving for donuts=D but there's only Dunkin Donuts there which we did buy, ate and regretted in buying it :S

Reminds me of the half dozen of Jco's which we had a month back...

And so we talked and talked and I dont know why you can never stop bullying me. EVER!

Time flies. ONE hour... SIXTY minutes... 360 seconds... and me sighing and practically heaved my feet back to my chair on the 26th floor at work.

IT was a great surprise and I really cant thank you enough. The gift was so unexpected but your presence was simply wordless.

don't go well with most of us right? Never mind that! Yee Ping whom I met through my first job this year had became my wonderful friend who is very much adorable, amicable and very down to earth. Our age difference is nothing to how fast we clicked through our ordeal at work place. Since she is leaving to UK end of this month, its just a farewell to catch up on what we lost and to wish her the best for her three months stay there.

She seems a little homesick, well who isn't when your loved ones are here and you are far away in the land so alien to you? To my sheer surprise, she brought her twin along and I swear they both look so identical if not for the hairdo. The rest of the story is nothing much, will let the pictures tell you what it was all about!

Best Bargain!

As an avid Sunday Star reader, I cannot simply skim the paper because I do not want to miss out any of those well written articles or be like someone who reads only the entertainment or sports section.

Last Sunday, I saw this article which mentioned two warehouse books sales at PJ! I was super excited and pestered my two lovely individuals at home to bring me to at least one of that heavenly place. It was The Big Bad Sale by thebigbadwolfbooks wholesaler :) Mind you, my parents dont like driving around the PJ area and mum just hates to maneuver the car without the slightest idea where the next turn is or which signboard gives the right way. Sitting at the rear seat, and licking away the Wall's Cornetto Sundae, it was just like being on a treasure hunt!

Though at heart, I was rather worried that my hunt will only lead me to lay my hands on the mere left overs, as the sale ends tommorow. So all the what if questions started to float and rise up through my mind like the very hot air balloons and even while enjoying the ice-cream it didnt stop me from hoping the place is still full of hundrerds of books for my indulgence.

Once I was inside the warehouse, my face lit up seeing tons of books and a small crowd which infact made my hunt easier. The place was huge and I was meandering through at first because I dont know where to start! Young and old, mostly Chinese and Indians pondering through hundreds of titles on display and I bet there was almost something for everyone who came. I scurried for almost an hour and half and managed to get hold of hmmm fifty six books which caught my eye and mind. Thanks to my mum who kept rushing me up, the number was smaller. Or else I would have sat there the whole day with the cardboard boxes which is failing to hold all those books.

Quickly I sorted the books to the genre's and reread the short write up about each of the book and the critics review. After much hesitation and evaluation, I chose TEN precious ones. With just RM50 in my pocket and having ten books laid out in front of my eyes, I looked at mum. The angel asked me to pick all and paid for the rest. TADAAA she did it again........I would say she was the one who inspired me into reading and she actually found some books of her like and purchased it too.

TEN BOOKS = RM80 dont ya think its the best bargain one can get? Wait till you see the titles I purchased...

Initially planned this just V and me, but since Li and Yee did not wish to continue their shift, so I was pleased to have them joining us.

SINCE its Friday, place is packed and we were forced to sit at the smoking area.

Hushed in, with the waiter seriously not attentive to us. We practically called for them thrice...maybe too busy with the loyal ones or the good tippers, I doubt which one!

We skipped appetizer and went for the main course since we need to eat thriftily. Talking about budgeting here how ironic, to be honest all my eating adventures since few months back is being taken care of by my humble bee.

The meat was tender and nicely battered, goes well with the dip!

Mr Li had a beef burger, which Chilis' known for it.
O yeah, he needs his Tiger...well this guy dunno what to say!

he's so not a drinker but grabs Li's for that innocent gesture :p
and we had another side dish: the famous buffalo wings with sour cream dip

and ending with dessert: choc cake with vanila flacvoured iceC and cherry.
the cake was warm and yummy but the ice cream was not up to even the mcd's standard
overall food was 7/10..

as for the drinks i had choc shake........YUMMMMMY!!!

Escape from the humidity (12&13)

Dreaded the hot hot hot and humid weather so WE made a trip to Genting Highlands. It was just a two days and one night stay over there. Pretty much bugged myself caring for the little brat who went on this car trail-ride about hmmm 30 times? I hope the figure wasn't big enough for you guys to wonder if he sat through the ride without annoying the rides' ranger who was helpless with this one stubborn head.

I know many of you are not so fond of this place as it's been here almost for few decades, but this is my second visit there and I came to understand that many new attractions been added prior to the previous ones.

Since my cousin and her family tagged along, we had to leave around noon and that made us not to purchase the outdoor them park tickets and had to stick to the indoor ones since the park closes at seven. SIGGH-guess what the following day it was raining, so we never got the chance to play the outdoor games.

The highlight of this trip is that I managed to get a glimpse on how cold would -5degree of Celsius would be.........Man, let me tell you at the snow world, with their stinking winter clothing and the wet gloves and boots, I nearly got hypothermia since it did not well protect my skin. At one point I couldn't move my left feet and stumbled to the mounts of snow. Nevertheless, the temp is just so awesome to be in maybe for few minutes hahaha

My mum was sick throughout the trip but we managed to have a nice time together before bro and me heading out to uni's! Scroll for some pic taken there and here :)

Remember I told in one of my last post that my mum gave me 50 bucks to get IT? Im sure you people out there had been cracking all this while on what am I so excited to buy with a Rm50 note.

Two years back when I was in Melbourne for holidays, my cousin; Celene recommended a novel to me which she exclaimed is the best she read so far. I hesitated to read it but since I was travelling all around and the places are so far from one another there, I didnt mind reading that nearly 700pages with the font size of 8 book in my three week stay there- since reading is my passion!

However, I couldnt manage to finish the story and I really didn want to hurry up and skim it because this is a story to be felt and behold of as it is written beautifully by the author. I must say Paullina Simons made me to smile, laugh, cry, feel blessed and the most is to fall and be in love with the characters which is so surreal.

Knowing that Malaysia has many bookstores, I though I'd easily purchase this piece. Unfortunately, I was told to place a special order and wait for it. My wait didnt go for waste as I laid my hands and smelled the pages of a new book-a special one to me!

For two hell of weeks, they didnt want me for work and all of sudden they rang me up and ask me to come back as there are new projects now. Guess what, I worked yesterday! I know no big deal if it is a normal "yesterday" BUT it was the International's Workers' Day! Goodness grace...I actually worked on my first ever May 1st, I mean even while schooling they gave us holidays as government declared it as public holiday.....hmmm I just dont know how I pulled the day through with my parents going berserk over the fact that I was actually working on a public holiday. They couldnt seem to swallow it and were stunned until I could elucidate whatever their concerns were.

To make it even worst, waking up today at noon with a queasy feeling like a pregnant women into her first month didnt do any better to me. So the whole day, I just MADE time fly and kick the doldrums away. IT did. Like Robert Ludlum wrote in one of the book I half read:

...In my case, pain was involved(too later at night) when I discovered those peachy pinky coloured pustules in my mouth! I know it looked like an art inside the walls of my mouth but when I try to mouth a word, chew a bite or make my tongue rest on it for a mili-second and I am sure I can run a mile waving my hands in the air looking like the girl who just have bitten the bird's eye chili pepper or most commonly known as Cili Padi! If you are keen to know what is the right term for this , then this should be:

Aphthous Ulcer- a blister on the mucous membranes of the lips or mouth or gastrointestinal tract.

Mum said there's no remedy for this and it actually resulted due to the lack of consuming water. Today noon, when I woke up I felt relieved that I was not in school. Few moments or maybe minutes into that ominous dream which took me all the way back to Maxwell and being caught over my mischievousness into breaking the school rules by that infuriatingly stubborn teacher, Anita is pretty daunting!!!!

Those who knows of her antics will agree with me!

As my previous posts had a lot of you wondering what I've been up to, I will entertain the benefit of your doubts! Well I didn't want to stir up much before I can really take my time to digest it.

IN ONE LINE: I got a scholar under the Star Edu Fund to study Human Resource Management(ADP) at SEGI and I've accepted it.

I know it is one of a kind opportunity which has been thrown to me and if any of you wonder, I had always wanted to do my degree in a private college

WHY? Because it is beyond dispute to question that the public university will be any better than the private colleges like SEGI ! More over they have offered my choice of degree under the ADP which is totally coursework based assessments based. Meaning to say, I'd not have to memorize random facts which will never get into my brain.

Hopefully, everything goes well...and I thank all of you again for the well wishes!

The greatest month of the year so far! We are in the second quarter of the year, can it become any better or far worse? Lots of questions to ponder, decisions to make, choices to pick, and answers to redeem. I am sure it doesn't only apply for me but for every single person who are conscious of what is and will happen in their future.

So there is about eight months to fly, and we have to be strong amidst anything that strike us. I came across the first pandemic strike in Mexico. It is an unknown disease and believed to have spread up to Texas and California which quickly claimed 68 people's life. Remember the influenza flu which was high at stake here last year, I hope this will not be far worst than that.

Besides that, all of us have personal targets to keep track which we would love to accomplish at least by end of the year. From traveling to places to weighing less, each differs to our ultimate wants and needs! In the end, only you will be there to reap what you sow, so why not make a start by setting your eyes and heart into it?

I know this post seems to be a little awkward because I seriously am not writing this by having one person in mind. It is several actually..I came across a lot of you who certainly had set many goals to be achieved and this post is a toast to that and to remind myself of all that which I have procrastinated(which I am not going to mention here)

Maybe ten months from the date I posted this, you will remember the good deed of your friend here who have reminded you! Hopefully, you'd be glad then because you have been beckoned on the right track for you not to simply regret that you were not!

Greasy yellow bites!

At my work place, we have an hour break from six to seven before continuing the night shift. Since my newly met girl friend is heading back home early, I joined Yee, Li and another Chinese friend of him to KLCC for light dinner. I preferred to snack, so i left them buying food at the 5th floor food court and headed to the 3rd floor for Mcd. Got a a large fries and walked back to them. They both saw what i was holding and their faces were aghast.

Before they could bully me out of eating the high calorie (category) food, I explained myself that I DONT mind eating it knowing it is fattening. However to my utter disappointment, that was not the reason they disapproved my choice of food. Yee took few breaths and explained himself that on You Tube, there is this video posted on Mcd Fries which will make you think twice of getting another one next time you are at Mcd. I just gasped ...because I cant seem to understand what more potential harm that it can do to me besides the hydrogenated oil they use to fry it.

Hmmm, so today i went looking for the aforementioned video on You Tube and i found it. DO watch it before continuing to read this post or you will be lost with my lines thereafter. Okay, it is really absurd when someone can think of all these and do an experiment to prove their hypothesis. Looking from the experiment guy's view, it might be true that the fries is just way too hazardous since it is non-biodegradable. Else wise, from my point of view, how if the salt on fries preserved it unlike the other edibles?

We all know salt is a natural preservative, so yeah somehow the outcome contradicts with this theory. One thing for sure, eating Mcd fries or any other junk food will not do any better to our health. Some people might not be bothered with this because they simply eat,drink and do whatever they LIKE(matters) for life is short. So guys, yeah its all up to you. If you beg to differ me on my perception, i hope at least you might try frying potatoes on your own which tastes way better(and of course more healthier).

One more thing, if you believed Mcd Fried can be consumed by vegans, well read this:

O lord! I just read a feature of a Nokia's classic phone: 6212 on today's Sun which has this function alike to a smart card. The function is recognised as Near Field Communication (NEC) and currently only one mobile service provider offers it here -the one who boasts the ubiquitous color of our national flower! Believe it or not, it will enable you to buy train tickets and everything else that you can imagine by just tapping this phone at the right place. Imagine you wave this Nokia at the ticket machine and you get a piece of ticket without switching on any buttons or whatsoever. Yeah i know its like a smart tag but this is your mobile phone and it does more than that!

With the advancement of technology each day, you nor me can never predict on what's next...and i got to admit, the hype the critics had brought on Facebook is so TRUE!! Its really dangerous to post everything and anything of you for public display. At least, i succumbed to it few minutes ago. Mind you, it can also be infectious!

Oh yeah! I have lots to blog however i am not here to throw everything out in a single post. Its been a week of consecutive blissfulness. It is indisputable that everything has been favoring me and i REALLY cannot thank enough of THEM above, angels of mine who is watching me over, my beautiful PRIYATELz (Russian for friends), and my only other half of bright shining star!

Heck, i care less for that one guy who claimed to be my friend and expected things from me. I know, maybe you are brought up such way but it didn't make you any bad in my eyes. However, you choose to end this one and a half year friendship with me and yeah without any acknowledgement. I stood by with you when others threw their nasty remarks AND best of it, i deliberately shared with you that even if you face the wall with your back to me, i will be right behind you, if you turn! I will never ask on what triggered of the treasure we shared, but i hope you will realize one day that, you eventually made one fine friend and lost the friendship to your reckless sense of attitude. Whatever i may say, you have been my friend and I thank you for that. All the best in being the next 007!

Like what i expected, I'm back to the working world. Just joined today and I am doing market researches for Honda car owners to rate on their services that were provided at the service centers. I met a lot of new people and they seem to be helpful and friendly. Each survey takes up approximately twenty to thirty minutes and if i get it all right, i will get additional RM5 besides the hourly paid wage. Hoping to stick in this job all the way till my uni acceptance letter reaches me.

BTW, today we had a briefing regarding the project in this small room with bright red couches. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and everyone apparently thought that there is another new comer to join us in it. We were wrong. A head popped in with a baby blue shirt color and interrogated my trainer about our briefing with the strongest American accent i ever heard from a non-native speaker. I was just awed all the while he stood by the door and questioned her. If you were wondering how he looked, imagine Shayne Ward's hair-do and his flawless skin(olive coloured) and with dimples(if i am not mistaken) AND he was the CALL CENTER MANAGER!!!

Omg, i only knew that after he left us to continue on where we stopped and it almost took me an hour to digest the fact that he is a young, vibrant Indian who is making his way in his life. I was inspired. Now where my future lies? Will I be the CEO or at least the GM? Huiting left me a message in the chat box and i have to agree with her[without much vanity] that, I am a girl with substance and I believe nothing will ever stop ME from dreaming and achieving what i want in my life.

Kudos to all those who are aiming high and to those who do not realise the beauty of dreams, please dream! Now I need to loosen up myself and get my deep slumber since i have to be up early to see THEM at temple. Happy Tamil new year to everyone who celebrates it.=)

I managed to hush everyone to bed by twelve and watched the LOST repeat(really enjoy watching it without any noise) and then this Malay movie on Kirana: 7 Perhentian. Though I slept at 4, i was bright awake when mum left the house for class at seven in the morning.

I know i have to only emerge from my bed after nine thirty so they will not suspect me much. LOL(they actually did)...after getting ready, waited patiently for her to be back home so I can be fetched to the KTM station. Dad followed us and in the car, he started to question on where I am actually heading to, resulting in heated arguments. They just dont like me to go out on my own especially if its meant to meet my friends or u can simply acknowledge it as an outing. They disallow me most of the times resulting me to be frustrated and sometimes I dont even take the initiative to even ask them(whereby i say a flat NO to those who calls me out). What i dont understand here is that, they actually dont seem to be bothered when i go to work or tutiton on my own. WELL if thats the case, do they dislike my purpose of going out to meeting friends???

After convincing them that i will be safe by her hands, i took the train to Kepong Sentral. On the way, Vicky joined me and we reached there almost in twenty minutes time. Meena picked us to One Utama and once there we hurried to GSCinemas to get those hot selling tickets for that newly released Tamil movie; Aayan. There were not much of a crowd at the place when we arrived and i really found it amusing since it was Saturday noon. She had this free ticket to watch any movies playing in any Klang Valley's GSC(she got it by purchasing Kit Kats LOL) and I personally think that is why she agreed to watch this movie since she is never fond of Tamil movies(Vicky actually bullied her all the way through & OMG i still cant stop laughin thinking on how u talked to my mum=p)

WE wanted to quench our thirsts and we went to Waffle World. Meena had ice lemon tea and Me+V shared a choc shake. We chatted till one of the waiter abruptly asked us to move to another corner since there is large crowd waiting to dine-in. Since we(me+v) have finished the drink, we quickly asked for the bill while Meena takes hers and gulps it while waiting for the receipt. Then roamed around awhile and we shopped at Padini's concept store for sandals and shades.

Needless to say, we had to have our lunch before the movie since its going to be too late after it. Initially, we planned for TGI's, however due to lack of time, with Meena's assurance we headed to Jacks. She claimed the potato with the sour cream is the best in town. Hmm, it sounds inviting to me, so all of us took sizzling boneless with the potato serving, onion rings and just plain water for drinks. The food came quickly and my first few bites didnt savour my taste buds coz the chicken was sizzling hot and it just burnt my tongue so i gulped it quickly without wanting to taste it. After almost finishing half of the portion i had to agree with Meena coz the potato and the sour cream was really good with the chicken and the sauce. If you guys are heading to Jacks, this dish is a must try. The best part about this place is that the service they offer is over-whelming and its the first time i was happy to pay the service charge for dining in in an eatery.

Next the movie! Meena didnt sit with us because there werent 3seats a little bit further from the screen. So she sat in the same row of us but in the middle while were sitting to her far left. I had to be sorry for her coz a huge grumpy dude sat by her side and she was actually hoping for a hot one. NEXT TIME YEAH BABE! And throughout the movie, i was constantly checking out if she's there+wide awake (coz she said she might fall asleep). Eventually, i knew she will like the hero and she was going ga-ga-ga over him and it was proven by one sms from her : "OMG! wei he's kinda cute..hehehe" Hahaha...finally wei!!! At least, next time you'll follow us to watch his movie even if it involves paying for it.

Once it was over, we headed to the escalator to get back to the parking bay. Along the way, we heard noise to be exact: blasts of electric and techno music. From the top, we could catch some guys with a keyboard, electric guitar and bass. We just stood there to see whats going on and then Meena screamed. She exclaimed it was POP SHUVIT!!!! Goodness grace, we were lucky enough to catch two of his live gigs for free. Seriously, he was really a good artist and its my first time hearing him live, he certainly gives his best all the time!

Like a canvass filled with all the favourable colours, my mind was filled with swirls of memories. Thanks to both of you for making my day filled with laughter and smiles. I totally did not regret choosing THIS over THAT, and meeting you after one year time just fills my heart with love and happiness. i HOPE we get to meet more often Meena and maybe you could drive up here someday? To V, today salvaged more than we expected.

So yeah, i face up such situation almost everyday from choosing this or that...and the people around me might be distressed because I annoy them too much to help me make a choice.

This time, i would say I had two choices. Nevertheless, I have not expected to CHOOSE because all the while I've been thinking I had only one option to make it worthwhile.

I HATE the fact that i wanted both so much. Taking up one will be a loss of another, which I cant seem to comprehend since my wait was too long for BOTH!

Finally when i thought that i will have to be jobless for the rest of my holidays, i got a call from Li Kian-my sifu and told me about his job and asked to me to join in with my another Maxwellian. I was grinning ear to ear while listening to him describing about the job.

Forgive me since i have not completely told about my last job. I'll cut things short; it was a executive telemarketing post whereby in my campaign, I had to sell credit card protection for an international bank which has branches here in Malaysia. The job was all right but my team leader put on a lot of act, (which i would not want to spill here) and that got my nerve. So i quit happily, knowing that i dont need that job, and at that time I was rather bothered about my STPM results.

However, weeks after quiting, now i really want to be hired at a nice place and i think whatever Li was talking about sounds far better than my last job. NUTSHELL, i am going for the interview at noon today. He told me that we could join immediately after the meet-up with the supervisor.

Like what we planned, he picked me at my place at one and drove us all the way to city centre. The trouble to find one empty parking lot was too much till we have to search one, for nearly forty minutes before settling in a deserted parking space which offers RM3.50 all day. Worth the trouble? I guess so bcoz the car will be there till 10 since the shift i were about to join is from two to ten at night. I've got one thing not to worry if i land in this job which would be taking the Putra or Ktm since we are gonna car pool baby!

Kim and me were rather excited than nervous because we thought this place isnt much of serious business from what sifu described. BUT, we were dead wrong! They asked both of us to fill in forms upon arrival and made us to come for an orientation cum briefing on Sat at eleven. WHOOOOA!! I don't like to be disturbed especially on a Sat morning, now what? AND i am looking forward this Sat for other reasons. We were stoned.

After filling in all the lame details of ourselves, we quickly decided to set our legs into KLCC for some window shopping. Half an hour of walk around, we decided to grab Mcd and then it struck both of us to catch a movie. Our whatever luck, the earliest show was for FF4 and not Confessions of a Shopaholic which we actually desired to watch. We picked the earliest show undoubtedly though, just because it is of action based and was much anticipated with its original casts.

One word about the movie: AWESOME!!! It was full house for the show and people actually clapped when one of the protagonist character was killed in the end. I was actually laughing coz i didn expect such outcome, at least in a movie theatre. Later Kim's dad picked us from Sentral and dropped me at home. My day was de-toured and it was fun to have an unplanned outing!

IT has been the major word being spoken around the world or at least to be precise in Malaysia for the past one week! Why Malaysians always have the mentality to exaggerate an event so much that they actually don't even know what they are in to. Okay scratch the last sentence, however what is actually Earth Hour suppose to be for? A worldwide campaign to highlight the threat of climate change?...

So by having ur lights switched off for approximately one hour,will that make a difference? Cmon answer me on that for those ppl who have been nonchalantly voicing that they are in this. Retrospectively, we all knew how much electricity we waste everyday. By just switching of the lights for a mere one hour in a whole year, will that justify what you have been actually wasting every other day in that year???

On the other hand, this event is actually a way to urge the United Nation representatives, government officials and everyone else who will be involved in making decision towards taking a drastic measure to cease global warming and the effects it brings. The organizers at World Wildlife Fund actually need at least a billion of votes so that this issue will be acknowledged in the coming Global Climate Change Conference end of this year. (AND ITS SO LAME TO EVEN THINK ABOUT THEM; HAVING TO HAVE OUR VOTES , SO THAT THEY CAN DO SOMETHIN ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING!!!)

Many of you out there have voted in and I truly hope that you will not stop your effort to voice out and conserve energy not just for an hour in a year. Think about all the times you left your PC switched on for hours to download an illegal movie, you forgot to switch off your water heater or the most common one: dozing of while letting your mobile charged more than it has to. YOU may be the biggest culprit behind global warming then, however since you are accepting the call of Earth Hour tonight, start conserving energy and use it wisely because all we have is one EARTH to live in.

I was deep in my thoughts thinking of what has been and whats not for the past few months.

Minutes then, i got a text from Yeng Ping. I read once. And i re-read till i can enounce each syllable with my eyes closed as i start to hyperventilate.

How can it come too soon??? She has been everything a girl could be.

My fellow friend since Standard Two, were classmates since St3 till St6.

She is a kaleidoscope of multiple talents.

More to it, she is a good friend whom i had a lot of fun in my younger days.

AND now everything seems far-fethced for her.

Diagnosed with that draconian disease, i can never understand why life has got to offer us such agony.

El told me, when she met her years back at a camp, she was lively and all the same except her physique which had shrunk.

SHE knows her days arent long for that she intend to meet her friends. For someone who is n the edge of the world, all she desire is to meet us; her FRIENDS!

I could not ask more from God but to keep her by her loved ones because I thought she has fought enough with it and began her journey back last year.

For all that we know, friends come and go in our life and the friendships which last are the ones destined and comes truly from our heart.

I can talk forever about friends and everything this special bond means to me. Nevertheless, this is not a post on that but perhaps on this friend and whatever we chatted after a long pause in between us: Arie. We were never really close and met when we were both going for tuition at SMC back in 2005. Four years...so many things had gone past us. I am really glad to talk with someone who cherishes the memories of our past no matter how insane it was thinking of how we were back then. Recalling all the sweet-sour times, one can reminisce forever. Thanks my friend for your share!

The day went well. Almost impossible to believe that, i had my cousins with their family at my place on a Saturday evening. Very well its impossible coz my mum has classes every Saturday and somehow she said yes when they asked whether they could drop by. They came around 5 and then the young ones and me went swimming. Im truly ashamed to confess this but it had been a great 2years since i swam in the swimming pool at my condo. I certainly had a whale of time splashing water at Nesh and Arya, making fun of them in their cute swimming trunks, telling stories of piranhas+crocs+killer whales... and basking under the cloudy weather feeling the cold breeze once we get out of the pool.

Then, we made our way to Midv to catch Slumdog. Don't ask me if its my second time just because you have watched it in the pre-historic age of HollyBolly-wood. Im risking myself to be back to the Ice Age since i have no sources to watch all the movies I want to indulge in. Some which includes: Twilight, Eagle Eye, Nights in Rodanthe, Mamma Mia, Wall E, HSM3, Quantum of Solace, Benjamin Button, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Bolt, Australia, Marley&Me, The Day the Earth Stood Still and a lot more. PLEASE don't tell me to download and watch it coz my comp doesn have sufficient memory, net's speed sucks big time, and I hate watching it on PC. I'm planning to rob a DVD shop.

Would you be my accomplice? No turning back for sure!

Training- Day 1 [16th Feb]

I know most of you have been wondering whether I settled in at some place with no PC or the net connection is wrecked as I've been loosing my touch with the surreal world lately. However, without much ado I shall bank in to clear all my debts now!

If you were aware, my first day of training was nothing like I expected. My dad tagged along to send me to the training place just because my mum was feeling insecured. I was already feeling dreadful since Hesh wont be there +sigh+ When i reached the floor, i saw people of my age group queueing up at the reception counter. Bidding bye to dad, I smiled at the lady near the counter who was wearing a micro mini skirt. Seriously, I wondered whether there is a dress code after coming to know that she was one of the HR assistant who will be guiding me towards the enrollment into the company.

When the Chinese guy who was standing in front of me in the line sped off to a room on the far end of the reception counter, my turn came and I was handed the guide book, forms and a name tag and walked to that same room. First glimpse, i saw half of the room was filled with at least a dozen of girls and few boys. I scrambled myself next to this Chinese girl who had a pixie boy hair cut. I sat in silence since she didn't look much approachable. So after going through all the terms and signing wherever I were supposed to, I continued reading Angels and Demons(the last of Brown's so Im reading at a very slow pace) and suddenly my phone vibrated and the screen showed a message from Kartik :p Hmmm a message from K made me feel a bit relaxed since my heart was pulsating, sitting in a room filled with complete strangers...and the jokes he cracked LOL wish I can type out the ARR's oh-so-dam fan's quote!!!

The lady with the micro mini skirt abruptly entered to the room and everyone started to whisper on the same time; so it sounded like whooosh! Then just like the sudden whisper I had to strain my ears to hear the sound of the air-cond machine. She started to break the ice and warmed the room in a matter of second. WOW! Thats how a trained hot executive can make her way with the fantastic people skills she has acquired.

Once the briefing ended, those present for the job were grouped into two according to our campaign. We were handed to a trainer for the next seven days for tutorial and whatsoever. That is when i found new friends and let me tell you they are so NICE and COOL to have around!! After getting to know them, we were briefed on how the job will be, what it requires and the way to work up to the trainer's expectations.

Shortly, the lunch time was up. Few of them stayed in...but i managed to get the girl who sat by my side to have lunch together. So we headed to McD in KL Sentral across the Plaza Sentral since we didn have much time to search for a a nice eatery. I learned she has the same last name as my primary school friend: PING. Ping will be 22 this year, has a twin, and on her last semester's break of the higher diploma which she is pursuing in the field of Psychology at KTAR. Much to our own astonishment, we really got along darn well and understood each other on just meeting an hour ago. We managed to eat only the McChicken bcoz we were busy exchanging questions and answers, so we grabbed the fries back to work. The plastic cup of our fizz drink was half full-GUESS what? we both HATE carbonated drinks.High-Five babe!!

The rest of the day was boring. We never really paid any attention to all the blabbering by my trainer and ending with the exam of the day. WELL, this company which hired me, seems to practice high level of professionalism since they have to maintain their quality amongst the other outbound call centers which is why they pick only the best (OHiGUESSso) and deemed its better to examine us after each of the training session. Those who didn't pass the first time were given another chance and if you are still lagging, then they kick you out with a 24hour notice.

Are you lot wondering what is so exceptional about this TELEMARKETER job?! For god's sake its like any other job, its just that you need to be very courteous to the customers whom you are engaging with and its very different than a customer service one since its outbound. We are required to market insurance products to prominent banks' clients unlike ordinary people who own a Sim card from a network. You get what i mean? Sounds easy? I hope so.

Random one!

All day i was procrastinating...never knew why but pulled that through in everything i planned to do today. +sigh+

Just an hour back, i managed to get hold of the TV remote since dad and bro were exhausted to
watch anything tonight after their fishing trip; so yeah after a long time i watched a movie all by myself peacefully.

It was an Indonesian one on Kirana. On first thought, it seems like a typical love story but as i just kept on with my wild guesses, it turned out to be a triangular-love story and what set the story a lil bit different from the other sappy ones is the hero whom is around the age of 30+ fell in love with a twelve years old girl. He didnt have any kinky thoughts and neither did she.

Of course the story wouldn be as simple as that with the twists existing in the form of his ex (who betrayed him), the girl's mother objecting, and a friend of her who is trying to show some love.. I know it sounds ridiculous to actually sit and watch a story like this, but on a second thought i didn regret on watching it because it does seem vivid and sensible to come across such love especially during the 20th century. Since i believe you cant gauge love because there isnt a tool do so; i liked the theme of this story!

I dont want to rant the synopsis of the story here, nevertheless the ending is not what you will expect (maybe not the one i did)...so if you happen to notice I love you Om playing on Kirana sometime in a boring day of yours, why not watch it??

Making marriage work.

Since i read this article by Alice S.M Lee on The Star dated 29 October 2007, I really wanted to share it with everyone I know. Through this blog, now I hope rest of you can indulge just like I did. It is a wondrous one indeed!

I enjoy watching elderly couples who hold hands and treat each other as if they were on their first date.Their 'golden marriage' must have withstood more than just the test of time, for them to enjoy wedded bliss right into their twilight years. They must have stayed together through thick and thin, for better or for worse.

Being able to survive a marriage for 40,50, or 60 years is an achievement. With divorce rates on the rise, we can't help but admire these elderly, affectionate couples and assume that their marriage must be filled with love and fulfilment. What does it take for a marriage to last through decades?

Romantic love alone will not ensure that a marriage can last because it is almost impossible for someone to remain in a state of love permanently. The feeling of being in love comes and goes. It does not last. So, if love isn't the ingredient, what is?

We are often misled by the story-book ending of a married couple "living happily ever after". In reality, no lasting relationship survives without hard work. It is quite impossible to live with another person in a close relationship in the same house without problems arising. Every marriage experience tension. The only difference is, happy couples do not just walk away, they have learned to deal with their problems.

Elderly couples who are happily married have learnt to live with their spouse with tolerance, even though their patience might wear thin at times. They have accepted each other's faults and are willing to compromise.

Any long lasting relationship is rarely perfect. So arguments are normal. In fact, it would be worrying if couples stop disagreeing with one another just because it takes much energy. At least, by continuing to bicker and complain, it's a good sign that they are still making an effort to communicate with each other.

Arguments generally do no harm, as long as you do not get mean, sarcastic or show contempt for your spouse. Make an attempt to change the mood as soon as possible to bring about an early reconciliation. In reality, no one can stay mad forever.

Long term marriages thrive on the benefits of being together rather than being on one's own. The different phases of marital relationship are fraught with challenges: adjusting as newlyweds, the arrival of children, balancing a career, the children leaving the nest, and finally retirement and coping with old age.

Life brings unpredictable circumstances. Happiness, sadness, success, disappointments and failures-all these are part of having a life together.

Couples are committed to loving and caring for each other, but there are times when they might hate their spouses due to some differences. Keeping an eye closed, turning a deaf ear-these have worked wonders for many couples. They do not sweat the small stuff. Instead, they focus their energy on doing the right thing for the right reasons.

I woke up with bewilderment of the dream i had moments ago. It seems so real till my emotions were high at stake and tears gushing down my pale cheeks. The dream was like nothing I wished for(read my tag)...convincingly i felt the taste of salt on my lips..and so its true i've fallen for another dreadful dream. I struggled to sit up on the blue flowered bed sheet but my legs wouldn't even budge. I strained my eyes to adjust to the light my Nokia 5200 was illuminating, it was 7.50 am. Sigh! I barely slept an hour ago...I'm thinking of getting professional help on my own before I start to loose my self.

On Wednesday afternoon, I received the anticipated call. Ms.Chandrika, the HR lady confirmed my job placement at the Teledirect Telecommerce. I will be starting on Monday at Plaza Central for a week of intensive training. I have yet to know whether Hesh got it as well (i hope he did or I'll be guilty stricken). Somewhat The news made feel exhilarated as I'm not only looking forward to the experience but a better social life and freedom for few months. I am deeply deprived of all that life has to offer in the past few months due to the lack of communication with people and mundane phases of life.

Well lets come to the post's title; Domestic Violence. Rihanna was supposed to be here entertaining thousands of her fans on the eve of V-day...but she didn't make it due to the fact that she has fallen to be a victim of violence to her much beloved boyfriend; CB. A week before this news spilled out, I read in the Msn Entertainment Site that Rihanna is very much obsessed with CB and cant stand from being of his sight. Less then two weeks, the same Rihanna (ironically: now believed to have suffered a bloody nose, facial bruising and a split lip) has reportedly told police she was in an 'ongoing and escalating abusive relationship' with Chris Brown. Lets take CB and her as normal people without any tribute to their fame and success in the music industry. If that's the case, this wouldn't be a major news for many as it tolls up to another domestic violence case in the world. What anyone would least expect is a major artist have been victimised amidst the kind of songs she has released so far(which shows she is tough and wouldn care less ex:take a bow) The bitter fact is that what seems to be convincing to our eyes isn't necessarily the truth we would want to believe.

One thing i am certain is DV can happen to anybody and its best to be aware of the warning signs and examples of abuse includes:

name-calling or put downs
keeping a partner from contacting their family or friends
withholding money
stopping a partner from getting or keeping a job
actual or threatened physical harm (hitting, pushing, shoving, etc)
sexual assault
stalking
intimidation
